Is the video re-encoded when I trim it?

No. The trim copies the existing video and audio streams between your start and end points, so it's lossless and near-instant whenever the source container allows it. The result looks identical to the original.

Does my video get uploaded anywhere?

No. The whole trim runs in your browser through WebAssembly. Your file never leaves your device.

What formats can I trim?

Most common ones: MP4, MOV, MKV, and WebM. The trimmed clip always comes out as an MP4.
