Re-package or re-encode a video from one format to another: MKV or MOV into MP4, MP4 into WebM, a clip into a GIF. Sometimes the streams already match the target, so we just copy them across. That's fast and lossless. When they don't match, we re-encode, which takes longer and costs a little quality. Either way the work runs in your browser, so even a big file stays on your device and is never uploaded.
